The varsity boys golf team competed in the Fairmont Firebird Invitational today on the North Course at NCR Country Club. The Bolts posted a team score of 355 which was good for 18th out of 21 teams. This loaded field contained many powerhouse programs in the greater Cincinnati and Dayton area. Please click on the NCR logo to view full field results from today’s event. A special thanks goes out to Fairmont High School and coach Matt Stotler for hosting a marquee tournament that has become one of the most competitive invitationals in our area. The staff at NCR had the course in pristine condition with firm fairways, penal heather, and lightning fast greens. Northmont was led in scoring by David Richards who posted a solid round of 86. Cole Stephens battled back from two triple bogeys, and a quintuple bogey to card a round of 89. Jackson Trottier, Alec Avdakov, and Gavin Caras all posted rounds of 90. Noah Thayer had the two lone Thunderbolt birdies today in his round of 91. The Thunderbolts are in action again Wednesday when we head to Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown to battle the Centerville Elks and the Middletown Middies in our second tri match of the season. We will see you on the links.
