Northmont Thunderbolts Emerge Victorious Against Greenville (OH)

Antonette Dorsey scored 14 points, helping Northmont notch a 57-39 victory over Greenville on Wednesday.
Northmont had an early scoring surge, claiming a 25-17 lead at the half. Northmont solidified their lead in the third quarter, scoring 15 points.
Dorsey was the front runner for Northmont’s offense with 14 points, including six during the fourth period. She also contributed four rebounds.
Two other players also scored in the double digits for Northmont. Jenna Hoschouer scored 12 points. Erin Mangen hit two three-pointers and scored 12 points total. Also helping the effort for Northmont were Shay Heath (9 points, 12 rebounds), Anna Mangen (3 points, 3 steals, 1 block), Haley Jones (2 points, 1 rebound), DJ Shepherd (2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals), and Maddie Auxier (2 points, 2 rebounds). Gabby Kline was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks.
Northmont finished the game with 40 rebounds (13 offensive / 27 defensive), four blocks and 11 steals. Following the game the Bolts celebrated their win with a team awesome dinner at Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe.
Northmont will face Lebanon next Wednesday December 7th to open up conference play in the annual Jam the Gym home opener night. Come out and support the girls next week Freshman tip off at 4:30 pm, JV at 6 pm and Varsity to follow tipping off at 7:30 pm.
