Eleven swimmers advance to the State District swim meet on Saturday at Miami University. Congratulations to the following qualifiers: Abby Gutierrez, Karlee Kreusch, Maddy Myers, Fynn Roberts, Neil Arsenio, Justin DeLano, Josiah English, Bobby Gaylor, Justin Parrett, Jim Studebaker, and Eric Woods.
The boys had an awesome meet placing 2nd overall at the State Sectional meet on Friday night. Justin Parrett was a two time Sectional Champion in the 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard breastroke. Parrett broke his own school record in the 200 yard freestyle (1:49.02). Justin DeLano was the Sectional Champion in the 100 yard butterfly breaking his own school record (53.97). DeLano is seated 8th going into the State District meet next week making the final heat in the event. He is the first Bolt to accomplish such a high seed. DeLano was the Sectional Runner Up in the 100 yard backstroke breaking his third school record of the season (56.97). The boys 200 yard medley relay (Josiah English, Justin Parrett, Justin DeLano, Neil Arsenio) placed 4th at sectionals and are headed to districts in the event. Finally the boys 400 yard freestyle relay (Josiah English, Eric Woods, Justin DeLano, Justin Parrett) also placed 4th and headed to districts as well.
On the girls side, the Lady Bolts were 4th overall at the State Sectional meet on Saturday morning. Sophomore Fynn Roberts was the Sectional Runner Up in both the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard breastroke. This is Roberts first year qualifying individually. The girls 400 yard freestyle relay (Abby Gutierrez, Karlee Kruesch, Maddy Myers, Fynn Roberts) placed 3rd and are headed to districts, too.
