Volleyball Starts With A Conference Win…

The Northmont volleyball team started slow but they were able to fight back and claim victory in their first conference match of the season.  The Bolts defeated Fairmont 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22.  After taking the 3rd set, Northmont dug themselves in another hole allowing Fairmont to build a 19-11 lead.  Dylan Sell brought the team back, fighting off two timeouts, with a 7 point serving run.  Northmont was able to take set four and the match.  The team was led by Dawson Walker with 20 kills and 5 blocks, Ryan Foy with 40 assists and 6 blocks and Abdihafid Abas with 7 kills.  The Bolts have a record of 4-1 and host the Centerville Elks Thursday night at 7pm.
