The volleyball team pulled off a big win in one of the toughest places to play…The Pit at Elder.  Northmont came out of the gates strong in the first set against the defending state champions.  Everything was clicking- Ryan Foy ran a brilliant offense, the block was huge and the defense was solid.  After splitting the first two sets, the Bolts came back from a 20-12 deficit to take set three, 26-24.  Elder came back to win the 4th set forcing a deciding 5th.  Elder started with a 6-4 lead but Northmont took that lead and kept it, winning 15-10.

The Bolts were led by Ryan Foy with 43 assists, 5 blocks and 3 aces, Dawson Walker with  17 kills, Ivan Sampson with 13 kills and 13 digs, Matt Bridenbaugh with 30 digs and 2 aces, and Abdihafid Abas with 7 blocks.

Records: Elder- 15-3, Northmont 16-5.
