Game Recap

Northmont Bolts Varsity lost the lead late in an 11-1 defeat to Centerville on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Centerville batting in the bottom of the sixth when Morgan Colopy singled off of Tyler Defibaugh, driving in one run.

Centerville evened things up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. With one out in the fourth inning Riley Poulton drove in one run when he homered.

Joey Hecht earned the win for Centerville. He tossed six innings, allowing one run, three hits, and striking out eight. Tyler Defibaugh took the loss for Northmont Bolts Varsity. He threw five and a third innings, giving up six runs, seven hits, and striking out three.

Home runs for Centerville came when Poulton homered in the fourth inning and Jake Whisman homered in the sixth inning.

Dylan Guth, Thomas Walsh, and Will Ludington each managed one hit to lead Northmont Bolts Varsity.

Centerville had 11 hits in the game. Joey Holiga, Jared Lieberman, and Max Wynn each collected multiple hits for Centerville. Centerville didn’t commit a single error in the field. Poulton had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Northmont finished the season 17-12.
