CLAYTON — Jabari Perkins’ big play ability had him burst onto the scene as a sophomore, now a senior Perkins is eyeing a bigger prize.

The Northmont wide receiver wants to lead the Thunderbolts back to the playoffs and is being heavily recruited by Division I programs.

Head coach Tony Broering said he “lost count” of how many schools came to visit Perkins earlier this year.

As a junior Perkins caught 33 passes for 619 yards and 6 touchdowns.

In his two seasons playing varsity Perkins has flashed tremendous big play ability and that’s what has colleges so excited.

While teams often scheme against him Broering says this year the Thunderbolts are going to do things differently to give him more opportunities to face man cover
