Thunderbolts News · Northmont Boys Volleyball 2020 Outlook…

2020 is looking to be a season of growth, excitement and success for the Northmont Boys Volleyball program.  We are hoping to still be able to compete in a modified shortened season beginning in April.  The team has a lot they want to prove on the court and they are ready to put on a show.

This season is going to look a little different than the past several years.  Northmont has built a tradition of being one of the strongest teams in the area.  While 2020 looks like it will be another strongly competitive team, it will be a lot younger and less experienced.  There is a lot of young talent- more than usual.  This is a hard working and intelligent group of young athletes.  The Bolts look to compete with Beavercreek and Centerville to be one of the best DI teams in the Dayton region.

The varsity is led by senior, Sam Diller.  Sam has grown into a powerful hitter and he could be one of the best players we see this year.  We will count on him to lead us to a lot of victories.  The rest of the varsity consists of 3 seniors and 10 sophomores.  Other returning starters include Senior, Aaron Sampson and sophomores, Eli Mosher and Dominic Smith.  All four of these players are really good.  I think other teams will be really surprised by the product we put on the court.  The supporting cast is filled with future stars.  The other players that will be battling for starting positions are middles: Kevin Zile, Jordan Anderson, Parker Bickel, pin hitters: Zach Custer, Kyle Delano, Jayden Allen, Collin Enochs and John Hong, defensive specialists: Parker Grundish and Connor Vitols.
