Multiple Teams · Important Fall Sports Ticket Information 2020

  • The GWOC (Greater Western Ohio Conference) has voted to go to a league only schedule in all sports.  All of our GWOC teams will play only GWOC member schools until the post season tournaments start.  This year, all sports, including football, will make the playoffs.
  • Capacity – The Ohio Department of Health order from Governor DeWine has stipulated that capacity at sporting events be limited as follows:
    • Outdoor venues – 15% or 1,500, whichever is smaller.  For Northmont, our 15% capacity is 975 total fans at Premier Health Stadium.
    • Indoor venues – 15% or 300, whichever is smaller.  For Northmont, our 15% capacity in the Thunderdome is 300.
    • For middle school and high school volleyball, due to capacity limits, immediate family of 7th graders will only be allowed in for the 7th grade game, and immediate family of 8th graders will only get in for the 8th grade games.
  • Season Passes / Ticket Information – With the idea in mind that venue capacities will be limited, we will not be offering season passes or reserved seating for the 2020 fall sports season. Additionally, the GWOC will not be issuing league passes for the fall as well.  Because of capacity restrictions, Northmont will not be able to admit fans on Senior Citizen passes.  This was a very difficult decision, and one that a lot of thought and consideration went into.  Our online ticketing platform is up and running, which will offer our fans a safe and handsfree ticketing option that will eliminate the need for cash exchange as much as possible. Fans will be able to purchase tickets on our website – more information on the ticket buying process to come.

  • Streaming of Games – With the idea of limited capacity at all of our venues, we are planning to install Pixellot cameras from the National Federation of High School Sports.  This will allow those who want to view games remotely, the opportunity to do so.  We will be installing cameras at our Premier Health Stadium and in the Thunderdome.  The cameras are set to be installed on Wednesday, August 26th.  We will be releasing more information in the near future about how our fans can subscribe to this service.
  • Fan Attendance – In order to attend a GWOC game at any school, every fan must abide by the following:
    • Masks are required.
    • Social distancing of at least six feet by members who are not from the same family must be maintained.
    • QR Codes – All GWOC schools will utilize QR codes for fans to sign in to any game that they attend.  These QR codes automatically work for I-Phones as long as you hold your camera up to the QR code, you do not need to take a picture, it will connect to the form right away. If you have an Android phone you may need to download a free QR Code Reader App from your Play Store if your camera does not recognize the QR code. Use the QR Reader to connect to the form using the QR Code. Fill out the form and please know that only one person from your group needs to complete the QR code and answer the questions for everyone in their group. Please understand that we are trying to provide the safest environment and we need this information for possible tracing should we have an issue.  This process will be in place at all GWOC sporting events.  If you are attending an event you should first report to the area where all fans need to register and follow the above process. This is one of the advantages of competing in league only play, we can all follow the same protocols.
