Thunderbolts Emerge Victorious Against Bellbrook (OH)
MaKayla Cooper’s double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds propelled Northmont to a 63-56 victory over Bellbrook on Monday. Thunderbolts grabbed the lead against Bellbrook (OH) on a two-pointer from Jenna Hoschouer in the second period and held on.
Northmont pulled ahead early, claiming a 28-23 lead at the half. Northmont put up 18 points in the final quarter on the strength of a 10-2 run, increasing their lead late in the game.
Putting up six points in the first period, Shalaya Heath wasted no time putting points on the board for Northmont.Heath finished the game with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
Also helping the effort for Northmont were Katie McCrary (10 points, 2 rebounds), Hoschouer (6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal), Camryn Nadir (8 points, 2 assists), Gabby Kline (2 points, 1 rebound), Salena Roberts (3 points, 1 rebound), and Anna Mangen (4 points, 4 rebounds).
