Thunderbolts Defeat Piqua (OH)
Shay Heath’s 13 points propelled Northmont to a 61-20 victory over Piqua on Wednesday.
Thunderbolts put points on the board early, claiming a 29-10 lead at the half.
Heath was strong from the field for Northmont, making 55% (6-for-11) of shots attempted.
Katie McCrary made it into double digits, scoring 11 points for Northmont (5-for-7). Also helping the effort for Northmont were Makayla Cooper (9 points, 2 rebounds, 5 steals), Camryn Nadir (8 points, 7 rebounds), Gabby Kline (4 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal), DJ Shepherd (4 points, 2 rebounds), Anna Mangen (4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals), Jenna Hoschouer (4 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals), Salena Roberts (2 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block), and Sydney McGilton (2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal).
Northmont finished the game with 50 rebounds (29 offensive / 21 defensive), two blocks and 16 steals.
