Mrs. McCarroll’s 4th Grade class finishes Financial Literacy Lesson at High School

As part of the 2019 – 2020 Financial Literacy Project planned and implemented by the Northmont DECA Chapter Mrs. McCarroll’s 4th-grade students from Englewood Elementary visited the high school today as the final step of “Crossing The Financial Finish Line.”  This was part of a 5-week lesson that DECA members created about topics such as

January AAA Driving Program at Northmont Registration Currently Being Accepted

Northmont High School is partnering with AAA to provide drivers education courses at the high school one last time before summer vacation. The classes are taught through AAA and are taught by a certified AAA driving instructor.  The classroom portion of the driving class will consist of 24 hours of classroom and 8 hours of road instruction. Northmont Chamber of Commerce visits DECA Members for Monthly Board Meeting

The Northmont Area Chamber of Commerce came to Northmont High School on Thursday, November 7th to have their November Monthly Board meeting. Northmont DECA members had an opportunity to hear about what the Chamber of Commerce does for the local businesses in the community as well as see the board in action with their monthly meeting.

Northmont DECA Members Place Top Ten at Ohio DECA Fall Leadership Conference

Northmont DECA members Senior Isaiah Underwood and Senior Chasity Knight competed at the Ohio DECA Fall Leadership conference in Columbus, Ohio today. Chasity and Isaiah competed in the Public Relations event, which consisted of a DECA Facts test, a one-minute self-introduction, and an interview.  Both students were able to make finals and place Top Ten

Northmont DECA has strong showing at Fall District 4 DECA Competition

Both DECA Chapters competed Thursday, October 3rd at the DECA District 4 Fall Leadership Conference.  Both chapters had a total of 56 students competing and 31 were medal winners and two students qualified for the Fall Leadership Conference in Columbus to compete to become an Ohio DECA State Officer. 2019 Powder Puff Game Tuesday at 7:00pm!

The annual Northmont Powder Puff Game will be Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the stadium.  Come out and watch the Class of 20 vs. the Class of 21. All tickets are $3 pre-sale or $5 at the gate! Come out and enjoy a Northmont Homecoming Tradition!

DECA hosts Lisa Nussman to talk about what is a Professional Image

Northmont DECA members had the opportunity to listen to Lisa Nussman, an Independent Mary Kay Sales Director, on creating a professional image. Mrs. Nussman was able to talk to the students about all the characteristics of building a professional image.  This included everything from professional dress, speaking and acting the part, and of course, knowing when
